Remix trumps Original

We can all agree that 9 out of 10 times a remix always sounds better than the original, and this is not too far fetched. So here are 12 remixes (old and not so old) that banged more than the original songs. If you don't already have these on your playlist, here is the opportunity to get them.

On the 5th of October, Ycee released the video for the remix of his hit banger Omo Alhaji with South Africa's Dj Maphorisa. The south African Dj definately added some spice to the banger. Watch the video here.

Tekno - Duro ft Flavor x Phyno

The best people were selected to feature on this remix. The original song was banging with us for so long, we skipped out on the remix. This remix trumps the original hands down. Humblesmith - Osinachi remix ft Davido

Produced by Mixta Dimz, this controversial song came with a lot of baggage straight after Davidos baby mama drama. Still, the song is chilling and even though the original song with Phyno was really good, this is good too. No reason why this still shouldn't be on your playlist. Listen today.

Wandecoal - Wanted remix Burna boy

Its not news that Wandecoal and Burna boy are a good pair. The best part about this remix is how they made the beat a bit more uptempo. Its lit honestly, way better than the original (well I guess that's why its a remix). If you need to remind yourself about this one, listen here.

Reekado Banks - Oluwa ni remix ft Sarkodie

Honestly, Mavin producers do not get the credit and recognition they deserve. Did you hear the beat on this ? Aside the beat, the vocals, Reekado banks is good! A good investment on Donjazzy's part. Sarkodie definately added a lot of his swag to this track. Listen and judge yourself today.

Now that's done, can we talk about why Tekno and Dammy krane are yet to make a hit together ? Honestly we need that energy. 2017 maybe?

The beautiful American born Kenyan, Victoria Kimani recently released her debut album "Safari" under her record label of 4 years Chocolate city. The album was launched in her home country and it has a total of 15 tracks featuring artistes like: Ice Prince, Phyno, Emma Nyra, Jesse Jagz and more.

Niyola, aka "Miss Nini" releases this dance track with the legendary Pasuma called "Jo". Honestly I can't wait to move to this track, produced by Focus Ramon. If you haven't already heard the track, download it today.

Artiste of the week is none other than the beautiful SIMI...

Simisola Ogunleye aka "Simi" started her career as a Nigerian singer/songwriter in 2006, but by 2014 she released a single "Tiff" which brought her out into the limelight. She was signed to X3M music the same year (2014).

Friday has actually arrived yet again. This weekend, the biggest street (block) party to hit Lagos is happening..... Between tomorrow and the day after (3rd & 4th dec) come out and party hard!!
